
Suzanne Pleshette, born 31 January 1937, who died 19 January 2008, was an American film theatre, television and voice actor. Pleshette began her acting career in the theatre and she appeared in films in the late 1950s. She was later featured in notable films like Rome Adventure (1962), Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds (1963), or Spirited Away (192001). From 1972 to 1978, Pleshette was an recurring guest in various TV productions. She also played Emily Hartley, which earned her numerous Emmy Award nominations. Pleshette was born on the 31st of January 1937 in the New York City neighborhood of Brooklyn Heights, to Geraldine (nee Kaplan)[1 and Eugene Pleshette. Her parents were Jewish and the descendants of immigrants from Russia, Austria-Hungary. She was the daughter of Geraldine Rivers, a performer and dancer.
