Carey was 5'10 inches tall before she stepped up to the leading model. The popularity of her was with American designers Calvin Klein or Ralph Lauren was extremely high. Her interest grew in acting and started studying with the Neighborhood Playhouse of New York. She had a small part on Club Paradise with Robin Williams in 1986. When she is not working she loves skiing and windsurfing, climbing up rocks and whitewater kayaking.
