Tom Selleck

Tom SelleckThomas William Selleck is an American actor. His most notable part was as Thomas Magnum, a private investigator in Magnum, P.I. (1980-1988) in which he was awarded five Emmy Award nominations for Outstanding Lead Actor in the Drama Series, winning in 1985. In the television series Blue Bloods, Selleck has starred as Frank Reagan, New York City Police Commissioner. Since 2005, he has played the role of Jesse Stone, a troubled police chief from a small town in New York City. In addition, he has appeared in nine television movies which are based on Robert B. Parker novels. Selleck also played the part as Peter Mitchell, a bachelor architect, in Three Men and a Baby (1987) as well as Three Men and a Little Lady (90). He has also been seen in over 50 other TV and film roles after Magnum, P.I., including the films Quigley Down Under, Mr. Lassiter and baseball. He was a regular TV actor playing Monica Geller's lover Dr. Richard Burke, on Friends; Lance White, the attractive, unassuming lover, in The Rockford Files; and as A.J., the casino owner. Cooper in Las Vegas. Cooper also had a leading role in the western television film The Sacketts, based on two of Louis L'Amour's books.Selleck is a California Army National Guard veteran, a spokesman for the National Rifle Association (NRA) as well as an endorser in ads for National Review magazine, and co-founder of the Character Counts! organization.
